Smart waste management
Study, analysis, and assessment of innovative software solutions for planning on-demand waste collection.
Need
This company, which is an entirely state controlled entity located in the Veneto area, has developed its own skills in waste management during its over 30 years in business. Having invested profitably in the local area, it has created an efficient and effective network to guarantee quality services. Today, it oversees activities in 50 towns and cities, with a turnover of €80 million and over 700 employees on its books.
Against this backdrop, the company sought assistance from Warrant Innovation Lab to assess its business processes in terms of a Smart Waste 4.0 model, with the end goal being to improve and increase the efficiency of the current process, in order to create new services for users.
Solution
Our involvement primarily concerned the collection of technical and design data relating to work processes; we then proceeded by mapping the flow of information and outlining the company's desires.
Using recognised methods, the requests were prioritised to create an evaluation grid for the subsequent software selection, defining the call criteria and models for the selection of software to complement the service planning.
Benefits
