GRS certification in the fashion sector

Need

The company is an Italian company with a turnover of € 15 million, specializing in the creation from design to the production of heels, soles, heels, buckles and fashion accessories for luxury brands on the international scene. Guided by a strong innovative vision towards environmental sustainability, it has always been careful to minimize waste and reduce the environmental impact of its production processes. The expressed need is to respond to the request of its customers to adopt eco-sustainable standards, with the aim of offering fashion houses concrete solutions for mitigating the environmental objectives required by their technical supply specifications.

Solution

The intervention is configured through an initial phase of research and selection of sustainability standards and best practices in the fashion industry. An implementation roadmap was subsequently defined to start the certification process of the GRS - Global Recycled Standard. A management system for the traceability of raw materials has been studied and implemented so that the finished products contain a specific percentage of recycled material deriving from the scraps and scraps of their production processes. The last phase of the design activity consists in supporting the maintenance of the certification over time.
