Need

This company, which specialises in the production of coffee grinders and coffee machines, has a global sales network covering over 90 countries. Regarding data regulation and protection, it set out the need to adapt its documentation to GDPR provisions (information, appointment of employees and external processors, processing register, impact assessment) in order to operate in compliance with the said legislation (EU Regulation n. 2016/67).

Solution

Our involvement was structured over various stages. Through the Privacy Lab platform, all aspects and the processes carried out by the company involving data processing concerning natural persons were mapped.
This analysis enabled us to quantify the level of risk to which data concerning individuals is exposed, in accordance with the classification set out in Art. 32, as well as processing-related risk, thereby allowing the company to put proper countermeasures in place should it become necessary to reduce such risks. In-depth analysis resulted in the production of all the necessary documents, appropriately tailored to the company's needs.
