Need
We work to support Italian universities, in particular the departments specialising in technical, engineering, and economics fields. What universities need is to encourage technology transfer from their research labs to the business world, to boost research activity and enhance academic skills by introducing corporate know-how and pioneering new content.
Solution
We started off by identifying and mapping out the university research centres with the greatest market potential. Once we had pinpointed the most promising project ideas, we proposed them to companies in various ways (e.g. via the sales network or by organising dedicated meetings and events) in order to establish the scope for a collaboration which would enhance university research on the one hand and encourage businesses to develop and invest in innovation.
