Need
This small Milan-based company specialises in IT services for software development, consultancy, and assistance. It approached Warrant Innovation Lab with the need to correctly manage a personal data breach in which it was involved, to remedy GDPR compliance aspects.
Solution
Our involvement was structured over various stages. Using the Privacy Lab DATA BREACH platform, we identified the archives and - consequently - the data which had been breached. In the event of a data breach, the company is required to record the event specifying which data was breached, demonstrate whether or not the breach poses a risk to the data subject's rights and freedoms, and then - based on this - decide whether or not to notify the data protection Authority of the incident.
With our assistance and using the platform, the data breach was resolved correctly within the 72-hour deadline set by legislation.
