Need
Apart from being extremely costly, motion analysis tools currently available on the market also require levels of space which tend to make them inconvenient for users (often patients), whose movements, exercise regime, or actions need to be monitored as uninvasively as possible.
Solution
Through a markerless Motion Capture system employing RGB or RGB-D sensor technology, the solution automatically analyses movements and exercises performed by patients in medical settings, collecting data which is useful for doctors in order to make diagnoses, establish rehabilitation pathways, or perform analyses concerning the use of wheelchairs and other aids. Given its versatility, the solution is suitable for multiple applications in other areas (e.g. ergonomics analysis in industry and design, occupational medicine, sports movement analysis, and seat design research in the automotive field).
Benefits
- Versatility (areas of application)
- Low costs
- Remote application
- Accident prevention
Possible applications
- Hospitals and medical equipment manufacturers
- Sports companies
- Automotive houses
- Manufacturing companies, manufacturers of furniture, chairs, seats, etc.
